Bristol Arts Monster is the one-stop-shop for Bristol families interested in the arts, bringing you guides, articles, interviews and events.

We’re all about encouraging families to take part in the arts and not sit of the side lines because they feel small people aren’t welcome.

We believe that family events should actually be for the whole family, so no more standing around twiddling your thumbs while the little legs have all the fun.

And we know that when you’re trying to herd small people about the place, it is far too easy to miss out on amazing events and only find out about them afterwards.

Follow us on Facebook for news, articles and weekly guides to what’s happening. Join us on Instagram for a whole lot of colour and street art. Or if Twitter is your thing then follow us there for a little bit of both.

To get you started, check out our guide to 7 Arty Free Days Out in Bristol or our Top Tips for Family Museum Trips. Or take a look at our next event, Easton Window Wanderland.

“Involvement with arts and culture is crucial to imagination, self-expression and creativity in young people.”

Arts Council England

We all know how much enjoyment kids get out of taking part in the arts. Running around the wide spaces of an art gallery. Doodling at home. Dancing wildly to their favourite song. Making up stories. Splattering paint. And, with arts education facing more and more cuts, it’s up to us parents to encourage them as much as possible, so we’re here to help.

If you have any suggestions or questions please feel free to get in touch otherwise, have fun giving yourselves a #MassiveARTtack.
