Let’s Make An Amazing Plasticine Scene

Learn the art of clay modelling with Aardman legend Jim Parkyn and then use your new skills to add to a large collaborative piece as well as creating a self portrait with Let’s Make Art that you will frame and take home with you.

The annual highlight of Bristol’s art scene, get ready for a weekend of art, music, workshops and, of course, spray paint. Celebrating it’s 10th anniversary, the festival will also feature a special Simpsons collaboration as well as all the usual fun for kids and adults of all ages.

BRISTOL BOTANIC GARDENS
The Impossible Garden

The botanic gardens are already one of the best places in the city to escape with the kids and let them run around, but now there’s the added bonus of 12 art installations by Bristol artist Luke Jerram to enjoy while you’re there.

Nab a spot on these popular workshops and your kids will be soon be pros at coding, making music on Garage Band or telling stories with the Clips video app. Suitable for kids aged 8-12, parents need to be present.

CHANDOS ATELIER
Dolls Clothes Day

Design and make clothes for your dolls in this fun workshop. You’ll learn how to cut patterns and fabric, add trimmings and put them together with a simple running stitch. There’ll even be a mini photoshoot at the end of the day! If you like the sound of that, there’s also Art House Week where you can decorate a doll’s house.

Free flow art sessions for children aged 2-5. Get good and messy with murals, collage, building, paint, glue, chalks, sewing… and leave all the cleaning up for someone else at the end!

A whole month’s worth of wonderful activities from the Scrapstore. Wings, slime, dinosaurs, costumes, flying machines, code breakers, boats, masks and, of course, Wallace & Gromit!
