In the run up to Christmas we've teamed up with Let’s Make Art and their Gifts for Crafty Kids project to bring you present ideas for art lovers of all ages. If you missed our first post on amazing creative books, you can find it here.
Next up, we're talking all things independent! There's nothing better than the feeling of supporting local artists, so here's a guide to some of our favourites as well as some great places to pick up their wares. Shop happy!
Just a few of our favourite designers, makers and creators - obviously there are many, many more! Find them stocked online and around Bristol.
These beautiful little frames containing pressed flowers are a real joy! They make a beautiful addition to any bedroom wall, no matter what age. Nikki can also personalise the frames by making individual letters and makes some lovely mirrors and terrariums too.

Dixon Does Doodles
If zombie cows, dinosaurs riding bikes or brussel sprout trees are your thing, then Jonathan is your man! You can find his doodles splashed across plates, prints, split pin puppets, temporary tattoos, cards and everything else in between. He also does wonderful commissions so get in touch before 16 December to give a personalised farty bean plate this Christmas!
Jemma's brilliantly colourful jewellery and pots are a total feast for the eyes and can be found in That Thing, Co-Lab and various other places around town. She's also up for commissions so if you have a piece of furniture that needs some doodle love or you want your bike helmet to stand out from the crowd, get in touch with her!
