Easton Window Wanderland

Window Wanderland is coming to Easton!

20-21 January 2018

BAM is really excited to be organising the Easton edition of this popular community event that brings people together and encourages creativity.

We are inviting households and businesses to create displays for their windows, forming a neighbourhood trail that can be enjoyed by the whole community. Your windows could explore scenes from a favourite film, family culture, interests and hobbies or anything you feel passionate about. Keep it simple or go all out: as long as it’s family friendly, anything goes!

If you haven’t seen Window Wanderland in action around Bristol, here’s a short film from The One Show to give you a taste:

And here’s how to get involved!

Households

Show your neighbours what you’re all about by decorating your window! You can check the event map and register to take part here.

We will also be holding an open evening for local residents to find out more on Tuesday 21st November at Easton Community Centre. Or join us at one of the creative sessions where we’ll have lots of ideas and inspiration, you’ll be able to get help with creating your display and you can meet your neighbours too!

To find out more about these events, please email eastonwindowwander@gmail.com or join the Facebook event.

Businesses

If you are a local business there are two ways you can get involved. If you have the perfect window and want to join the trail, please get in touch to register. You can either create the display yourself or we may be able to team you up with a local artist if that suits you better.

There will also be a chance to sponsor the trail map in return for logo space and social media mentions. This is a great way to support your local community and get involved in this wonderful event. Again, if you’d like more information, please get in touch!

We look forward to hearing from you!

Artists

We are looking for artists who would be interested in working with local businesses to decorate their windows, as well as potential community workshop collaborations. Obviously, we’re especially interested to hear from Easton based artists, but if you’re in the surrounding area we’d love to hear from you too. Please email us eastonwindowwander@gmail.com.

Volunteers

An event like this doesn’t happen by itself! If you would like to help us in any way please email eastonwindowwander@gmail.com and let us know a little about yourself. Thank you!

And, of course, if you’re not based in Easton, you can still take part in our Window Wanderland by visiting the trail while it’s on. We look forward to seeing you then!
